About Russell Johnson, MD
Dr. Johnson received his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed his radiation oncology residency at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago.
A board-certified radiation oncologist, Dr. Johnson worked previously at Elkhart General Hospital as its first medical director, also providing coverage at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Before returning to Elkhart, Dr. Johnson had been in solo practice in north central Illinois. He is excited to return to the Michiana area.
With 25 years of cancer care experience, Dr. Johnson has served as the president of the American Cancer Society Northern Illinois Regional Leadership Board. He is a fellow of the American College of Radiation Oncology.
In addition, Dr. Johnson is a member of the American College of Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology.
