About Emilee Tehrani, NP
About Emilee Tehrani
From a very young age, Emilee Tehrani was interested in medicine. “I knew I wanted to help people,” she said. “I strive to be an active listener who will provide you with a treatment plan that we will both be happy with.”
Emilee earned her undergraduate degree at IU South Bend and her master’s work was completed at Goshen College. Early in her career she spent time as a pediatric clinic associate, assessing patients as she worked alongside registered nurses. Then she worked as a CV/ICU nurse and staff educator developing care plans with patients and families. More recently she has been in pulmonary critical care, treating up to 75 patients per week in an outpatient clinic, doing evaluation and management of oxygen, chest tubes and ventilators, and also serving as the lead pulmonary nurse practitioner in her group.

As Emilee has worked with patients through the years, she says they have taught her to listen and listen some more. Her philosophy is to treat them like she would want her family and friends to be treated. From working with her, she says, “I hope they learn to learn to listen to their bodies.”
In her own words…
What was your first job growing up? What do you remember about it? Mowing lawns. I remember it was really hot.
What was your best/worst subjects in school growing up? Best subject was science. Worst subject was math.
