Desire Andersen, MD

About Dr. Andersen Desire M. Andersen, MD, FAAP, is a pediatric hospitalist providing inpatient care for infants, children, and adolescents. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine. Dr. Andersen earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed her pediatrics residency at University of Wisconsin-Madison. With more than a decade of experience, Dr. Andersen’s clinical focus is on the management of acute pediatric illness and supporting safe, effective and high-quality care for hospitalized children. She values practical, systems-based approaches that improve both patient outcomes and team workflow. Dr. Andersen has been actively involved in systems-level and community work through committees with the Berrien County Health Department focused on pediatric health and safety. In addition, she has experience teaching and mentoring in the clinical setting.
