Board certified by the American Board of Surgery, Laurel Tangalakis, MD, cares for adult patients with a thoughtful, hands‑on approach. She focuses on obesity treatment and the surgical care of gastroesophageal reflux disease, helping patients improve their health and feel their best. Dr. Tangalakis completed her Surgery Residency at Rush University Medical Center and John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County, Chicago, Illinois, after she received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Prior to that, Dr. Tangalakis earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
