During a high school clinical opportunity at a hospital ICU, Nicholas Dilly, NP, decided on his future career. “I saw firsthand the difference these workers can provide for others in need,” he says.
Nicholas earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alma College, Alma, MI, and his Master of Science in Nursing – AGACNP, at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Work in the ICU is a complex and fast-paced environment that Nicholas says allows him to make an impact and continue to improve himself. His patients have taught him to always listen first. “Never forget there is a person behind the disease,” he says.

Who is or was the most influential people/role models in your life? My father has been very influential by always showing me integrity and hard work.
What was your first job growing up? What do you remember about it? My first job was being a server. I remember all the late nights I put in.
