About Kim Acton
While she was aware she wanted a career in the medical field, Kim Acton, FNP-C, did not realize at first that nursing would be her calling. “It wasn’t until I worked in a nursing home that I started to think of nursing as a career,” she says.
Kim earned her Associate of Science in Nursing at Indiana University South Bend and her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, in the Family Nurse Practitioner track. She loves focusing on family medicine. “The connections I have made with my patients are everything,” she says.
In working with people, Kim says she tries to make sure her patients feel heard. “We are partners in their health journey. I will provide as much help as I can, but they need to do their part, too,” she says.
