About Daniel Johnston, MD Daniel Johnston, MD, FACS, is a vascular surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and is dedicated to providing the best possible care for his patients. Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Dr. Johnston brings extensive training in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of vascular conditions. He is committed to delivering high-quality care and helping patients make informed decisions about their treatment options. Dr. Johnston specializes in vascular and venous conditions like peripheral artery disease (PAD), carotid artery disease (CAD), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and venous compression. He also performs procedures like aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy and dialysis access. Dr. Johnston completed a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, following a General Surgery Residency at Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Alma College in Alma, Michigan.
