About Mark Rummel, MD, FACS Mark Rummel, MD, FACS, is a vascular surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is also a long-time Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Rummel brings advanced training in vascular and endovascular surgery and is committed to delivering high-quality care grounded in clinical expertise, sound judgment and patient safety. Dr. Rummel believes patients deserve honesty delivered with compassion. He is committed to helping patients understand their condition, treatment options and expected outcomes so they can make informed decisions about their care. His approach to medicine is rooted in responsibility and accountability. He values clear communication and shared responsibility, recognizing that the best outcomes are achieved when every member of the care team is empowered to contribute. Dr. Rummel uses experience to strengthen future patient care and supports the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals. He also believes a physician's responsibility extends beyond individual patient care and includes stewardship of resources and mentorship of younger clinicians. Dr. Rummel completed a fellowship in Endovascular Surgery at the Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, and a fellowship in Peripheral Vascular Surgery at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Rummel earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Hampton Roads, Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.
