About Jordan T. Boivin, MD Jordan T. Boivin, MD, is a board-certified sports medicine physician who is passionate about helping patients return to the activities they enjoy. He combines advanced training, professional sports medicine experience and a patient-centered approach to care. Dr. Boivin completed a sports medicine fellowship at Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, where he served as a team physician for multiple high-profile organizations. During his fellowship, he provided medical care for players and staff of the Houston Texans (NFL) and Houston Astros (MLB), student-athletes at Rice University and astronauts at NASA. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Boivin returned to Kalamazoo, Michigan, to provide advanced sports medicine care to the community he proudly calls home. He uses an evidence-based and collaborative approach to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries and overuse conditions, including injuries affecting the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. He cares for patients of all ages, from youth and high school athletes to recreational competitors and older adults. Dr. Boivin develops personalized treatment plans designed to help patients recover safely, reduce pain and return to their goals. Dr. Boivin earned his Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, before going on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He then completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine (WMed) in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
