About Shawn Skinner, PA-C Shawn Skinner, PA-C, provides gastroenterology care for adults. He has a special interest in gastrointestinal (GI) conditions and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Shawn is committed to providing evidence-based GI care and helping patients understand their treatment options and health goals. In addition to caring for patients, Shawn's background includes advanced study in both medicine and sports medicine. His experience allows him to support patients with a wide range of digestive health concerns while working as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Shawn earned a Master of Science in Medicine from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He also earned a Master of Science in Sports Medicine from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama, and a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Physical Education from Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. Shawn is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Outside of the office, Shawn enjoys reading, sports and watching movies.
