Kerry Paape, MD

About Dr. Paape Keery Paape, MD, has a special interest in all types of heart surgery and lung cancer surgery. She is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Paape sees adult patients with cardiac and thoracic surgical disease and those who need heart surgery or lung surgery. “I enjoy helping patients who are seriously ill become well again,” she says. “I care for my patients like I would care for my own family.” She went to medical school at UT Southwestern in Dallas, did a six-year General Surgery Residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and a three-year Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago. Other interests are in all things horses – rodeo, therapeutic horsemanship and trail riding. Dr. Paape is also an avid winter skier and summer hiker.
