In his role as a family medicine provider, Dr. Price sees his job as helping people achieve the best form of wellness possible for them. “I believe that the job of a family physician is to get a person well enough that they no longer need pills or invasive interventions to live their best life,” he says.
He wants his patients to know that while modern medicine might cause them to feel overwhelmed, that they are safe with him and that he cares for them as people. Dr. Price says, “I practice a relationship-centered medical approach. Emphasis is placed on coming to an agreed upon treatment plan that is both medically appropriate and is aligned with the patients’ expectations.”
A listening ear and understanding a person’s situation is Dr. Price’s approach to treatment. “I want my patients to know I care. I care when they are sick, unwell, or suffering. I care when they tell me about social barriers to their care. I care for them the way I would want to be cared by my physician or for my family to be cared for, he says, adding, “I care enough the tell them if something is wrong, and to advocate for them to improve their lives.”
