About Ryan Stoy, LCSW
About Ryan Stoy
While in his 30s, Ryan Stoy, LCSW, was working at a gun store. His wife, a Certified-Nurse Midwife, commented that since the part of the job he enjoyed most was talking to veterans who came into the store, he should go into social work. A medical career was not an unusual one for his family, with both parents being registered nurses and his sister a DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice).
Ryan earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Investigative Skills at Goshen College, Goshen, IN, and his Master of Social Work at Indiana University, South Bend. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indiana, Michigan and Hawaii.
Ryan describes his role as assisting clients in overcoming challenges by providing a safe and confidential space to verbalize and process concerns. “I enjoy being part of a team of professionals helping people through times of difficulty,” he says.
With a sense of curiosity, Ryan approaches his work with a client-centered approach.
