Joshua Braveman, MD

About Joshua M. Braveman, MD, FACS, FASCRS Joshua M. Braveman, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a colon and rectal surgeon with more than 20 years of experience caring for patients in hospital and surgical settings. He is double board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. Braveman has served as an attending surgeon at several hospitals throughout Ohio during his career. In addition to his clinical work, he has held academic appointments and has helped educate future physicians through teaching and mentorship. He currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Surgery at The Ohio State University and as a Clinical Assistant Professor of General Surgery with the Centers for Osteopathic Research and Education. Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Braveman completed a Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts. He also completed his General Surgery Residency at Lahey Clinic, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Braveman earned a Bachelor of Philosophy in Biomedical Ethics, cum laude, from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
