About Sarah O'Connor, MD
Dr. Sarah O'Connor knew her calling was to be a physician from the time she was three years old. Originally, she had interest in specializing in obstetrics, but found herself incredibly drawn to babies in particular. When she had children of her own during medical school, there was no doubt in her mind that she wanted to go into pediatrics.
Seeing children feel better, play and smile is Dr. O'Connor's favorite part of the job. After treating a patient, she wants them to feel like they've been listened to, respected, and treated as if they were part of her family.
Excellent care is provided by not only Dr. O'Connor, but also the team she works with. Teamwork is vital, especially when there are complicated cases.
"My motto is to think about how I'd want someone to treat my child," she said.
Outside of work, she enjoys playing games with her husband and five children, and crafting. South Bend is her hometown and she attended Notre Dame. She's t...
