“As I pursued my medical education, I discovered that hematology oncology was the ideal fit for me. It blends scientific knowledge with the opportunity to provide compassionate care to patients dealing with life-changing diagnoses,” Dr. Aslam says.
He wants his patients to know that his approach to medicine is patient-centered, evidence-based, and deeply compassionate. “I prioritize open communication, collaboration, and continuous learning to provide the best care possible, always with the patient's well-being at the forefront,” he says.
Dr. Aslam says patients have taught him the importance of resilience, empathy, personalized care, effective communication, lifelong learning, collaboration, and gratitude in medicine. “Their experiences have enriched my practice and reinforced my commitment to providing the best care possible,” he says.

If you could sit down to dinner with anyone (alive or deceased) who would it be and why? I want to have a dinner with my whole family who is scattered in different regions of the world.
In addition to medicine, what are you passionate about? Traveling has been a significant part of my life. To date, I've had the opportunity to visit over 25 cities across the United States.
What is something most people don’t know about you? My passion for chemistry. Chemistry is closely associated with hematology oncology as it is a fundamental part of the field, contributing to both research and patient care.
