About Talha Bin Farooq, MD Talha Bin Farooq, MD, is a cardiologist who is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His clinical focus is preventive cardiology, with particular interest in addressing co-morbid conditions to improve cardiovascular health. He also has a strong interest in multimodality imaging and continues to build upon the skills and training he developed during fellowship. Dr. Farooq believes in shared decision-making and places a strong emphasis on patient education. He spends extra time helping patients understand their health conditions and treatment options so they can make well-informed decisions about their care. Dr. Farooq completed a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois, where he served as Chief Fellow. He also completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Carle Foundation Hospital and served as Chief Resident. Dr. Farooq earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Farooq has contributed to medical research and has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Current Problems in Cardiology, Clinical Lymphoma, Myeloma & Leukemia and Cureus.
