As Chief of Oncology, Anas Al-Janadi, MD, leads the growth and transformation of oncology services across Beacon's northern Indiana and southwest Michigan markets. He has a focus on strengthening multidisciplinary care, expanding access to services closer to home, advancing clinical outcomes and enhancing patient experience.
Through his joint role with Notre Dame's Harper Cancer Research Institute as Associate Director for Clinical and Community Research, Dr. Al-Janadi will help bridge clinical care and scientific discovery, creating new opportunities to accelerate research, expand clinical trials and bring innovative treatment options to patients throughout the region. This is part of a shared commitment to advancing oncology research and improving health outcomes in the communities Beacon serves.

Dr. Al Janadi earned his Medical Doctorate from Damascus University School of Medicine in Damascus, Syria. He completed his Internal Medicine residencies at Damascus University Hospitals and at St. Barnabas Hospital/Cornell Medical Center in The Bronx, New York. He then pursued fellowship training at the Henry Ford Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Al Janadi has previously served as Division Chief of Hematology / Oncology and Director of the Breslin Cancer Center at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, as well as Vice President and Department Chief of Cancer Care Services at Corewell Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is a member of the Board of Directors and former President of the Michigan Society of Hematology / Oncology (MSHO). He was also a founding member of the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium and a member of the Cancer Center Directors Steering Committee.
