About Brooke Waite, NP
About Brooke Waite
The nurses who cared for her grandfather in his final days left an impression on Brooke Waite, FNP, and led to her choosing a medical career. “My grandfather, whom I lived with, was in the hospital for many days before passing,” she says. “The only workers I remembered were the nurses.”
Brooke is a graduate of Western Governors University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Track. Her work experience is as a nurse preceptor, a charge nurse, a travel nurse and a case manager.
She believes that getting to know her patients is an important part of practicing medicine. “I truly appreciate building a trusting relationship with patients and feel that is the foundation for good medicine,” she says.
Brooke says she believes the more comfortable and valued she can make her patients feel, the more likely they are to have a positive outcome.
