Physician Assistant Sean Crabtree spent six years as a clinical research study coordinator, caring for patients through more than 100 clinical trials. This experience led him to pursue a career in medicine. Those years gave him experience in treating a variety of conditions, including acute sinusitis, migraine headaches and depression. Since 2008, he has continued working in the areas of orthopedics, urgent care and occupational medicine, working with adults and pediatric patients.
Sean earned degrees from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, where he learned the importance of evidence-based medicine. He has a broad range of skills, having experience in areas such as orthopedics, sports injuries, assisting in surgery, wound care, dietary education, and general medical complaints.

Who is or was the most influential people/role models in your life? My wife and children inspire me.
What was your first job growing up? What do you remember about it? Lawn mowing in the neighborhood near my childhood home. I remember pulling my mower behind my moped to get there.
What is your favorite food? Favorite food: pizza
What was your best/worst subjects in school growing up? My best subjects were English and science; my worse was math.
If you could sit down to dinner with anyone (alive or deceased) who would it be? My grandfather who passed away when I was young.
In addition to medicine, what are you passionate about? Enjoying life with my family.
What are your hobbies, interests? Hiking, biking, kayaking and guitar.
Do you have pets? We have Dean, a black cat and Bailey, a Yorkshire Terrier.
What is something most people don’t know about you? I received an Excellence in Medicine award from Ascension Health, my previous employer.
