Nurse Practitioner Amanda Doeden’s approach to care stems from her belief that everyone is a valuable asset to the community. “My philosophy is to provide holistic comprehensive care to all patients and families regardless of their economic status, gender, lifestyle, beliefs, or ethnicity,” she says.

The ICU RN who took care of him and also brought Amanda comfort made her realize she wanted to make a positive impact on others, even in difficult times. After that encounter, she switched her major and earned her degree in nursing from IU South Bend and then became an ICU nurse.
