While broken bones are not usually something a person is glad to have, it was a string of these that led Jeffrey T. Szuba, MD, to his career calling. “My orthopedic doctor was a major influence in my choice of medicine as a career,” he says. Today, as a Family Medicine provider he takes care of people of all ages. This variety was one reason he chose this specialty.
Dr. Szuba earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Indiana University, Bloomington. His Doctor of Medicine degree is from Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis.
Treating patients as he would a member of his family, Dr. Szuba has learned that everyone wants to be listened to attentively. “Compassion is very important in health care and also in life,” he says.
