About Eric McCoy, MD
About Dr. McCoy
Dr. Eric McCoy says he has always held a fascination for physiology, biology, and the musculoskeletal system. As his knowledge grew, and he learned he could leverage these passions to decrease suffering and improve quality of life, he knew that medicine would be the perfect career choice.
As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. McCoy treats fractures of the pelvis and extremities, as well as arthritis, bones that do not heal properly, and bone infections. “I unfortunately often meet patients following a traumatic event,” he says. “But I feel tremendously honored to play a role in the transformative process of healing and recuperation. It is a unique privilege to minimize disability and maximize rehabilitation for patients who have suffered from traumatic musculoskeletal injuries.”

In his own words…
Who is or was the most influential person/role model in your life? My mother, who is extraordinarily loving and resilient.
What was your first job growing up? What do you remember about it? Jamba Juice in high school. Beyond blending smoothies all day, I learned how to balance my life with school, work, and athletics, with minimal down time.
What is your favorite food? Movie? What was your best/worst subjects in school growing up? Food: Thai Movie: The Revenant Least challenging subjects: Chemistry, biology, math Most Challenging subjects: Theater, art
If you could sit down to dinner with anyone (alive or deceased) who would it be and why? My father-in-law, for his humor and wisdom.
In addition to medicine, what are you passionate about? What are your hobbies, interests? I enjoy running, hiking, spending time outdoors, and weightlifting.
