For Dr. Quanri Jin, getting patients to feel normal again isn’t the goal- he wants them to feel better than they ever have. The most rewarding part of being a hospitalist is helping encourage patients along their recovery path and aiding them in living a better, healthier life.
“Oftentimes, I’m not only working with individuals who are sick,” said Dr. Jin. I’m also working with their families, who are worried and scared. One of my goals is to not only help the patient, but also help the family to feel comforted and reassured that their relative is getting the best care.”
He especially loves his role as a hospitalist because he enjoys the acuity of ailments that he sees. It challenges him to take his medical knowledge a step further and requires him to think on his feet.
