After finding joy in science while a student and having an interest in helping others, Thomas D. Bussineau, DO, decided on a career in medicine.
He is a graduate of Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human & Microbiology. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at A.T. Still University, Kirksville, MO. At McLaren Macomb, Mount Clemens, MI, Dr. Bussineau completed his residencies in internal and family medicine and also his Medical Education Fellowship.
Dr. Bussineau is one of a group of physicians treating hospitalized patients. As an internal medicine provider, he gets to practice all specialties, which he enjoys. His approach to care is to always make patient care a priority.

Who is or was the most influential people/role models in your life? My wife who really supported me and helped mold me into a better man.
What was your first job growing up? What do you remember about it? Paperboy back in middle school.
What is your favorite food? Movie? Favorite foods: Pizza and Pho Favorite movie: I watch too many movies to have a favorite.
What was your best/worst subjects in school growing up? Best was art; Worst was American literature
If you could sit down to dinner with anyone (alive or deceased) who would it be and why?I’d have a giant feast with close family and friends. We’re spread apart and it’s nice seeing everyone.
In addition to medicine, what are you passionate about? What are your hobbies, interests? Running, movie nights with family, adventures with family
What is something most people don’t know about you? I grew up in Georgia and North Carolina the first nine years of my life.
